Insurance and Reimbursement

At Fenix PT and Performance, we do things differently. We feel that you deserve the best care and the most attention. That’s why we have chosen to be an out-of-network provider. Not being contracted with insurance companies allows us to treat you the way we feel is best without compromising quality.

The trend in healthcare the past decade has been this: Increasing premiums, co-pays, and deductibles while decreasing reimbursement to providers. So in order for traditional in-network PT clinics to make a profit, they have to see more patients. With only so many hours in a day, the time with the therapist gets reduced. This means you pay more and get less treatment. You would typically be seen for 15-25 minutes by the therapist and need to attend 2-3 times a week for 6-8 weeks, all the while paying premiums, deductibles, and copays that are higher than ever. 3 times a week for 6-8 weeks? Check your co-pay and do the math!

For years we worked in this broken system where the standard of care was dictated by what the insurance companies would reimburse. We knew there was a better way, which is spending more time with you. You get results faster! Which is what you deserve.

Reimbursement from Insurance

All of our patients have insurance, and most patients have out-of-network benefits as part of their coverage. To help you, here’s our link: OUT OF NETWORK INSURANCE BENEFITS REFERENCE SHEET to help you learn about your benefits. This way we can help guide you to submit your claims to your insurance. We will also give you a superbill with all the information you need to get reimbursed.

Tax Deduction

If you do not choose to submit for reimbursement, we can still give you your superbill and you can use it for an itemized tax deduction.
